Plus, solar panels and wind turbines need a lot of sun and wind. If you live in an area that does not have sufficient amounts of either, you will be throwing your money away. You should do research and make sure you live an area that has enough wind and sun.
Overall, solar and wind power are great ways to save money on electricity while reducing your carbon footprint. For most people, the advantages will overshadow the drawbacks of alternative power for home system.
